A very warm welcome to my blog, which I hope will become a valuable resource for all you entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking to create your own live events.
There is an art to hosting an event that wows your crowd and in my regular blog I will be sharing my thoughts, tips and experiences with you to help you do just that.
But who am I to tell you how it’s done?
Well, I’ve been working in the events field since January 2000 and have been involved in a wide range of gatherings from small conferences and niche trade shows to large shopping events and outdoor multi venue epics! Along the way I’ve sprinkled in some personal events too – various hen do’s, my own wedding, school events and birthday parties for my kids.
I have experience in working within most of the UK’s top venues (NEC, SECC, ExCeL London, Olympia London to name a few) as well as in the local church or school hall. The challenges I’ve faced on some of the smallest events have been just as tricky to overcome as those encountered in the larger venues. In fact, a family trip to Legoland can easily prove as much work to organise as a conference or trade show!
All of this means that I have lots of experiences under my belt that I can use to help you get off to a flying start.
The thing I love about putting on an event is the huge feeling of pride and satisfaction when the doors open and your guests flood in and have a great time. There are few jobs that allow that on a regular basis and that’s why I keep coming back for more.
I love spending time going along to all sorts of events too – there’s no better way to get inspiration for your own projects – so I’ve decided it’s time to share some of my experiences with a wider audience in the hope I can help you to wow your crowd with an amazing event.
Whatever the scale of your intended event, I hope you will find this blog a useful source of education and inspiration.
- From a small gathering of entrepreneurs at a workshop to a huge auditorium full of raving fans.

Whatever you’re planning, come and check in regularly here to see how you can make them the very best they can be.
I’d love you to get involved and tell me all about your own events as well as what you’d like me to write about – don’t be shy! Let me know how I can help in the comments below or drop me a line at email@example.com.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
